Domaine Small collects personal information when you order our products, subscribe to our newsletter, write to us, or simply visit our site. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can require of us. It is written in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector , as amended by Law 25.

2. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Richard Small, owner-operator, acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information. Any question, or request for access, correction or withdrawal of consent, should be addressed to him at info@domainesmall.com. We respond within 30 days of receiving a request.
3. The information we collect
When you place an order
Last name, first name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number, order contents and the delivery method chosen. This information is necessary to process and deliver your order, produce your invoice, and meet our tax and legal obligations regarding the sale of alcohol.
Payment information: credit and debit card numbers are entered directly in the secure interface of our payment provider and are neither stored on nor accessible from our servers.
When you create a customer account
Your username, your password (stored in encrypted form), your saved addresses and your order history. Creating an account is optional: you can order without opening one.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
Your first name and email address, solely to send you our news, offers and event invitations. Every mailing includes an unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw your consent at any time. We never sell or rent our mailing list.
When you write to us
The name, email address and content of the message you send us through our contact form or by email, so that we can reply to you.
When your age is verified
Quebec law requires us to verify that you are 18 before giving you access to our alcoholic products. The date of birth you enter at the entry gate is used solely for that check at the time of your visit: it is not added to our records and is not linked to your name. Only a cookie recording that the check was passed is placed in your browser.
When you browse the site
Technical and browsing information (pages viewed, length of visit, device and browser type, referring site, truncated IP address) collected by means of the cookies described in section 5.
4. Your consent
We collect your information with your consent, given freely and for the specific purposes described above. Consent is requested separately for each purpose: agreeing to receive the newsletter is never a condition of placing an order. Information strictly necessary to fulfil your order is processed on the basis of the contract between us. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@domainesmall.com, without affecting processing already carried out.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
A cookie is a small file placed in your browser. Our site uses three kinds.
- Necessary cookies - they make the site work and cannot be disabled: keeping your shopping cart, your order session, remembering the age check, payment security, your language choice, and the administration session.
- Audience measurement cookies - Google Analytics 4, to understand which pages are viewed and improve the site. They are placed only with your consent and are kept for at most two years.
- Attribution cookies - they record how you reached the site (search engine, link, social network) in order to associate that source with an order. They are placed only with your consent.
Our Visit us, Points of sale and Restaurants pages embed Google Maps, which may place its own cookies when the map is displayed.
How to refuse: the banner shown on your first visit lets you refuse optional cookies just as easily as accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie management link at the bottom of every page, or clear and block cookies in your browser settings. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent you from browsing or ordering in any way.
We use no advertising profiling, facial recognition or geolocation technology.
6. Who we share your information with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers who allow us to run the site and fulfil your orders, and only as far as their mandate requires:
- our payment processing provider, to authorize the transaction;
- our web host, which stores the site's data;
- our newsletter tool, hosted on our own domain;
- the carrier handling delivery, to whom we pass the recipient's name, address and telephone number;
- Google, for audience measurement and map display, if you have consented;
- our professional advisers or the authorities, where the law requires it.
7. Information communicated outside Quebec
Some of our providers - notably those handling payment processing and audience measurement - process or store information in the United States. Your information may then be subject to the laws of that country. Before entrusting information to these providers, we assess the protection they offer and govern the communication by contract. You may write to us for more details about that assessment.
8. How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: seven years, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Customer account: as long as the account is active, then three years after the last order.
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep proof of the withdrawal.
- Messages received: three years after our last exchange.
- Audience measurement data: at most two years.
At the end of these periods, the information is destroyed or anonymized.
9. How we protect it
The site is fully encrypted (HTTPS). Access to orders and customer accounts is restricted to those who need it for their work and protected by password. Our systems are backed up regularly and kept up to date. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the individuals concerned and the Commission d'acces a l'information, and record the incident in our register.
10. Your rights
At any time and free of charge, you may:
- consult the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- withdraw your consent or request the deletion of information that is no longer necessary;
- request portability of your information, that is, receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format;
- request that dissemination cease for a piece of information, or that it be de-indexed from search engines, under the conditions set out in the law.
Send your request to info@domainesmall.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec (cai.gouv.qc.ca, 1 888 528-7741).
11. Automated decisions
No decision concerning you is made solely on the basis of automated processing of your personal information.
12. Minors
Our alcoholic products are intended exclusively for people aged 18 and over, and our site is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 14. If you believe such information has been sent to us, write to us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy to reflect developments in our activities or in the law. The effective date shown at the top indicates the current version. Any significant change will be flagged on the site.
